A personal thing stays personal
Your history doesn’t
need an audience.
The desktop app talks directly to Telegram. Your messages and photos aren’t sent to a server we run, and no AI model is involved in reviewing them.
- Review happens on your computer.
- Your session uses supported OS encryption.
- Backups and receipts go where you choose.
A backup is another copy. Protect it like the original. Capture protection varies by operating system.
Where things live
Plain answers about private data.
| Data | Location | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Message previews | Your computer’s running app | No AI model or app-operated message server is part of the review. |
| Photo thumbnails | Local cache | Clear them in the app. They are separate from an exported backup. |
| Login session | Local OS-encrypted storage when supported | Linux’s unprotected basic_text fallback is rejected. Protect your computer and review active Telegram sessions. |
| Cleanup progress | Encrypted local journal | Identifiers and outcomes are stored, not message bodies. Recoverable cleanup requires supported encryption. |
| Backups and exported receipts | The destination you choose | Plaintext files can contain private text, media and identifiers. You control their protection and removal. |
Transport has a precise meaning.
The app uses Telegram’s MTProto client-to-server transport. That does not turn ordinary Telegram cloud conversations into end-to-end encrypted chats.
Capture protection has limits.
The app requests native content protection where available. macOS capture software can bypass it; Linux protection is unavailable. It cannot stop a physical camera.

Website delivery and support
Cloudflare delivers this website and can process technical request information such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser information and security events to serve and protect it. This site has no advertising pixels, behavioral analytics or embedded marketing tracker. Appearance preferences are described in Cookies and device storage.
If you contact us, we receive the email address, correspondence and attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer the request, troubleshoot and maintain support records. Please do not send private message exports, login codes, passwords, session files or API hashes. There is no automatic upload of your Telegram history, local journal or backup to Curiositech.
Purposes, legal bases and recipients
Where GDPR applies, our legitimate interests in delivering and securing the website and responding to enquiries support necessary website and support processing; we consider your rights when relying on that basis. Steps you request toward a contract or performance of a contract can apply to service-related enquiries. Legal obligations may require particular records. If we introduce processing based on consent, we will identify it and provide a way to withdraw consent.
Cloudflare processes website delivery and security information. Support correspondence also passes through the email services used by you and us. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Disclosure may be necessary to comply with a binding legal requirement or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not use your Telegram content to train AI models.
Retention and international handling
Local sessions, cached media and progress records remain on your computer until removed by the relevant app controls or file management. Exports remain where you save them. We cannot erase files on your computer remotely.
We keep support correspondence for as long as necessary to resolve and follow up the enquiry, maintain proportionate support records and meet applicable legal obligations or handle claims. We review whether it is still needed rather than treating correspondence as a permanent record. Hosting security data follows the active service settings and provider retention arrangements; this notice does not promise a universal fixed duration.
Curiositech is based in the United States. Correspondence and hosting information may be processed in the United States and other countries where relevant providers operate. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, those safeguards must apply; hosting does not mean data stays in your country. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its processing and transfer information.
Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law and circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your information, object to processing or withdraw consent. Rights have conditions and exceptions. See Your data rights for safe contact instructions, response times and how to contact a supervisory authority.
We do not make automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects. Material changes to this notice will be reflected here with an updated date and any additional notice required by law.
